Mornin' all.
Haven't a clue which way this is going, but I thought it was time we had a place we could all meet now and again - in cyberspace that is.I don't mean, to replace visits and phone calls and family gatherings, of course.
More to keep in touch with what's going on. Post news, pictures, forthcoming family events, birthday reminders etc. (Isaac is 19 on Monday! 12th March)
We'll keep it strictly family (ish). I don't know whether we can restrict access here, but at least we can keep the URL to ourselves. Might even be better to use one of the "forum" thingies. All ideas are welcome. So let me know what you think - and what you're all up to. We're off to deliver Jordan to catch a mini bus to watch the World Badminton finals in Birmingham.Catch you all again soon.

Neil Crud said... Good ides, but I'm second guessing the females of the species will be making far less contributions (if any)...! I hope they prove me wrong.
It's Saturday morning and the ritual here is for Declan to wake me up at some ungodly hour before 8am. He'll harrass me until I'm out of bed and then he's straight onto the PS2 to continue feeding his latest obsession - Football, or more so - Liverpool Football Club. With Marni watching over him from the confines of her bedroom(!)
I quickly nip across the road and move my van out of the Rhyl parking zones to relative Traffic Warden safety, and buy a Saturday copy of the Daily Post (why, I dunno, cos it's crap!).
Then its tea and toast for breakfast, cereal for Dec and the conversation covers whether Man U are bigger scum than Chelsea, should Thierry Henry play for Liverpool, do Newcastle foul everybody, are Watford going down etc...
Happy birthday to Isaac on Monday - I've just dug out my 1988 Diary - the entry for that day reads...I had a letter from Fireball magazine of Italy saying that they wish to organise us an Italian tour!!! Phil has advised us that we wouldn't get the dates if we sent them our current live recordings so we're booking Dave's studio in Bangor this week to get a tight, fast sound out ASAP.Had a tape from Japan in exchange for a 4Q one and the gig at Llandulas tonight has been cancelled over door money wrangles. My Dad and Jayne had an 8lb baby boy today - his name is Isaac James Birchall and he is my half brother. He's 21 years and 4 months my junior!
That's it! Hope this runs and runs - like I said, it's a good idea.
Off to see Portrait of A Lifetime tonight in the luxurious surroundings of The Dudley Arms in Rhyl... Here's a video I did for them using only a man who makes samarai swords in Llandudno and a cave...!

With a little help was able to reply!!!!!My day has been dominated by Star Wars, Start Wars a bit of Polly Pocket and then more Star Wars.
Erin had a freind to play. So sweet to see them wandering around sharing hair bobbles and all things pink, with no mention what so ever of Star Wars.
Mike gone fishing, he must be freezing. 5 hours on Kinmel Bay beach.
Hope he's caught a fish or two for tea!We would all like to wish Isaac a happy birthday for Monday.
Must go, under pressure from Rhys to go on the computer to watch Star Wars clips. Aaaaahhh save me!!!
Love Em

There ya go Em. Easier than frying fish, this blogging.
Did Mike catch anything? Seaweed? an odd wellie? a cold??
Neil: I'm impressed. Never had you down as being so well organised. I doubt I could find anything from last year, let alone a diary from nineteen years ago. I file everything under "M" for miscelaneous!

They're out to take away a little bit more of our freedom folks...The UK Govt are about to propose restrictions on photography in public places which could make street photography and documentary photography against the law.Not only that, you could be banned from taking a humble family snapshot in a public placeDon't let them do it!! There's a petition on the Downing St website against the Government's proposals to restrict the use of photography in public areas. Sign up to the petition now......

I guess that comes under The War Against Terrorism (or T.W.A.T for short). If it became law it'd never work as they don't have the resources to police it - although I'm sure Brunstrumadumdum would have a good go if there was a cash incentive.
I've had a quiet 5 or 6 days for the first time since going self-employed - and it's been really good!
Done one little job this week, day off today, and Chester with the boys tomorrow, so I'm taking the Morris 1000 to Jane's Steve's Dad's for repairs (brakes and fuel pump seized) this afternoon. Then Dec and myself are going to Nain Denbigh's for tea.
As for Jane - internet..? You're kidding aren't ya! They still use candles on that side of Rhyl...!

Day off eh! I've heard people talk of such things...Didn't realise you still had the Moggie. Have you painted it psycadelic purple yet? Isn't that what everybody does? You towing it or pushing it?Enjoy tea (freeloader!).
Tell Nain Denbigh we're all asking after her.

Ah well, another Vernal Equinox over with. How was it for you? We've all got a nice solstice to look forward to now. Isn't that great?! I can almost feel your excitement from here!
Funny week. Hail like golf balls here in Ruthin. Probably just a light drizzle in Sunny Rhyl, was it?
At least we didn't have the whole town cordoned off due to an explosion. What WAS that all about?
So. Big Birthday at the weekend eh! Lot's of bopping and out on the town getting ratted I'll bet.
I don't know... that Elton sure knows how to celebrate!!
Erm... wasn't it someone elses this week too? [shrug]
Oh yes - HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANE! I'm shouting because Neil reckons she never goes near that interweb thingy.
Go on Jane. Prove him wrong. Hit "comments" then the keyboard (in that order!).
Neil, Em, Jane: Let the little 'uns have this URL. It would be great to see some of their words of wisdom here too.
See y'all soon.

Declan quipped this morning as we froze getting into the van for school,'It's the first day of spring.'
I dropped Marni off round the corner from the bus stop so her mates don't see her climbing out of a 'Noddy Van' and dropped Dec off at Clwb for 8.10am, before heading to Cilcain to finish Mrs Leech's bathroom.
On Monday I battled through snow to get there. Yesterday it was icy wind. Today I was blessed with glorious sunshine, which made my 'flu not seem so bad. The cure is simple - go to bed wearing as many clothes as comfortably possible (2 tees, hoody sweatshirt, trackie bottoms and a dressing gown) and sweat it out for two nights. Inbetween ensure you work your socks off! Bingo - no more 'flu - just a sore throat and swollen glands.
I was asked to host the Bite Size Bonus Radio Show which was broadcast today - it's the most listened to Podshow on the internet. Had a great laugh doing it - I don't think they knew what was coming..! Had lots of special guests, including Sting..!

I'll dig Jane in the ribs...
